18-year model model Cynda Mcelvana : 'No Diving' by David Lekach for Damaged Magazine (2016)
My name is Cynda McElvana. I began my professional modeling career at 15, though I had done some modeling for photographers prior to that, as well as been involved in several beauty pageants. I have been a model for commercial shoots, fashion shoots, and beauty shoots, and I have walked the catwalk many times since my career began. While I am still considered a fresh face in the modeling world, I feel I have grown a lot in my art. My art is modeling which is more than just a pretty face; it is getting the right pose, the right facial expression, and the right look that captures the feeling that is meant to be expressed. Just like acting, modeling is art form, but I am charged with capturing the look, feel, and expression that the client is wanting without words - one picture, one frame that tells the whole story - that is my job! It is a job I take seriously and one I continuously work at to hone my skills. Modeling is more than my past time, it is my career, thus I take it seriously and I bring nothing but my "best" and professionalism to every shoot.
